Opportunities for joint cooperation between Dubai Public Library and the National Library of Kazakhstan were discussed during the recent visit by Arman Issagaliyev, Consul-General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai, to Al Twar Dubai Public Library.
The Kazak official was briefed on the library facilities as well as other branches of Dubai Public Library and their range of services.
The Dubai Public Library network is managed by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, the emirate's dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage.
Fahad Al Mamari, Director of Dubai Public Library, said, "We are pleased to welcome Arman Issagaliyev to the Dubai Public Library facilities. Dubai Culture is playing an important role towards strengthening Dubai's position as a leading global cultural destination, making ongoing efforts to build cultural partnerships with other great nations.
"We have provided the Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the annual agenda of cultural programmes and projects undertaken by the Authority. The Consul was kind enough to support our library by presenting us with a number of books about the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in return we have presented him with a special gift of books from the Dubai Public Library."
During the visit, the parties discussed opportunities for joint cooperation between Dubai Public Library and the National Library of Kazakhstan.
