Cairo - MENA

Egypt's Ambassador to Burundi Abeer Basyouni met with Mohamed Rukara who chairs the international permanent council for combating conflicts and wars.

The two sides discussed means of boosting cooperation between Cairo and Bujumbura through Burundi's TV Salama channel that was founded in 2008 and owned by Rukara.

Within the framework of activating the cultural initiative between the two countries, the Egyptian Embassy has presented a French version of "The Land" Egyptian movie that was directed by the late renowned Youssef Chahine, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Thursday.
