Egypt will participate in a ceremony embracing Constantine as the Capital of Arab Culture 2015 on May 17, the Egyptian ambassador here said.
During the Ceremony, the Arab Music band of Cairo Opera House will play songs of late renowned Algerian singer Warda.
In statements to MENA Thursday, Omar Abu-Eish said the Egyptian embassy in Algeria is exerting strenuous efforts to give momentum to the Egyptian-Algerian cultural relations.
Within this context, Egyptian Minister of Culture Abdel Wahid Al Nabawy was keen to attend a ceremony marking the selection of Constantine as the 2015 Capital of Arab Culture in April, the ambassador said, adding that the minister had talks with his Algerian counterpart to boost bilateral cooperation.
Abu-Eish said several Algerian officials voiced appreciation to the efforts exerted by the embassy to foster Egyptian-Algerian cultural cooperation.
