The UAE's embassy in Rome and its consulate in Milan, have provided a large part of the capabilities and build-up of the UAE Pavilion at Expo Milan 2015 which opened Friday. Salem Al Ameri, Commissioner-General of the UAE Pavilion, and Deputy Director-General of the National Media Council, NMC, organisers of the pavilion, said that the UAE Ambassador to Italy, Saqr Nasser Al Raissi, and the UAE Consul-General in Milan, Nora Abdul Hamid, were instrumental in the successful organisation of the pavilion.
This includes the handling of the shipments of the components of the pavilion and traditional foods and drinks as well as custom clearance procedures.
Al Ameri lauded the UAE diplomacy for carrying out the mission in time thanks to the outstanding relations with Italy.
The official said that the shipments arrived at the pavilion ahead of the official opening of Expo Milan.
