Patriarch Abune Mathias of Ethiopia Sunday led a mass at Virgin Mary Church in the Cairo district of Zeitoun as part of his current visit to Egypt.
The Ethiopian Patriarch is currently on a six-day visit to Egypt that began on Saturday.
This is his first visit to Egypt since he assumed his post in March 2013.
The Ethiopian Patriarch is expected to visit a number of churches and monasteries in Cairo and Alexandria and attend the weekly sermon of Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese on Wednesday at the St. March Cathedral in Abbassia.
