Head of the Evangelical Church Rev. Adrea Zaki met here Wednesday with Archbishop of Canterbury Most Revd Justin Welby as part of his current visit to the United Kingdom.
The meeting covered relations binding the Anglican and Evangelical Churches and the latest developments in Egypt particularly the role played by the political leadership in supporting transition to democracy.
Zaki asserted that the future of Christians in the region is closely linked with that of Christians in Egypt, adding that Islamic-Christian relations are getting stronger thanks to understanding between Christian and Islamic religious leaderships.
Welby praised the great role played by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to bring back Egypt to its position on the world map.
