First Cairo International Exhibition for Innovation sets off Wednesday

The 1st Cairo International Exhibition for Innovation will kick off on Wednesday, said Dr. Mahmoud Sakr, head of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT).
He said he received a donation of half million EGP from an Egyptian businessman to support 10 economically-profitable innovations that abide by the rules and criteria set by the Academy.
Sakr has lauded the role of Egyptian businessmen in promoting the Egyptian economy through funding scientific researches.
Although budget allocated for the scientific research was doubled after the 30-June revolution, civil society contributions still have a great impact on supporting scientific research, asserted Sakr.
