French Ambassador in Cairo Andre Baran on Tuesday inspected the French pavilion at 47th Edition of Cairo International Book Fair, which runs from January 27 to February 10, under the theme of "Culture in confrontation".
Five French institutions and French research centers are taking part in the exhibition including the French Cultural Center (CFCC), French Development Agency (AFD), French Institute of Architecture and others.
The pavilion also included a digital library which briefs visitors on hundreds of thousands of French documents and sources which are of high interest to many French readers and learners.
Seminars will also be held at the pavilion as part of the French cultural activities in the fair. The seminars will cover issues of reviving translation programs between the two countries as well as exchange of cultural expertise in this domain.
