Greek President Karolos Papoulias, on a three-day State visit to Algiers, visited Sunday morning the National Museum of Mujaheed in Algiers.
Accompanied by Industry and Mining Minister Abdeslem Bouchouareb, President Papoulias visited the various stands of the museum where he received explanations on the main phases of Algeria’s history, particularly the national liberation war.
In a statement to the press after this visit, the Greek President hailed the struggle of the Algerian people against the French colonialism.
“ It was an unequal struggle which succeeded in changing the course of history,” he said, underlining that his country had always supported the struggle of the Algerian people for their liberty and independence.
