"Assistance to higher-education graduates in language and translation, best guarantor to have access to world market and the translation industry" is the theme of a workshop which started on Monday and is due to continue until September 8, 2011, in Hammamet.The training is organised by the National Translation Centre with the support of the Culture Ministry and the Qatari Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry for the benefit of some 25 higher-education graduates from various regions of the country.Culture Minister Ezzedine Bach Chaouch stressed, at the opening works, the importance of specialisation in translation, becoming today an autonomous industry generating job opportunities for university graduates. In turn, Vocational Training and Employment Minister Said Aidi said that Tunisia is a Maghreb, Arab and Mediterranean platform for translation, underlining the importance of developing independent employment and via the Internet.The agenda of this training session includes a workshop on the translation industry market in the world moderated by international translation expert Tunisian Abdelwadoud Omrani.
