Bahraini renowned artist and producer Ahmed Yaqoob Al-Moqla described the honour he received from the organising committee of the 16th Arab Festival of the Arab States Broadcasting Unit on May 12 in Hammamet, Tunisia, as a source of pride, a coronation of long years of diligent work in the art field and an honour to all Bahraini artists and creators.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he said that he had been nominated by the Information Affairs Authority to take part in the festival and the moment he was honoured he had the feeling that it was a tribute to Bahrain leadership, people and artists. He stressed that the honour, which came after many awards he had received for outstanding artistic works, is a confirmation of the respect and appreciation enjoyed by Bahraini artists not only in Bahrain but in the whole Arab world.
