The organizing committee of the 19th Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran convened a session on Monday to discuss the event's programs.According to the Iran book news agency, this was the 7th of a series of sessions held to assess various aspects of the week and to unite related organizations for the event. Mohammad Allahyari, general manager of the Book Administration of the Guidance Ministry, Hamid Ghobadi, advisor to the cultural deputy of the ministry, and representatives from various social, cultural, political and military organizations and foundations expressed their views and stances on the event in the session. Granting books to libraries, unveiling books, holding book reading contests, arranging specialized and provincial book fairs, and equipping libraries are some of the chief programs to be sought by organizations during the week, the representatives said in their announcement. The 19th edition of the Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held from November 13 through 20, 2011 nationwide.
