Tehran's Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi and Lebanese Minister of Culture Gabi Layyoun explored avenues for the further expansion of cultural ties between the two countries. During the meeting held in Beirut on Tuesday, the two sides agreed to fully cooperate to hold Iran's cultural week gloriously in Lebanon in the near future. The officials also discussed cinematic cooperation and joint film production. The Iranian envoy and the Lebanese minister called for the implementation of mutual cultural agreements signed by Iranian and Lebanese officials. He noted that Iran and Lebanon will soon hold cultural weeks, exhibitions and other cultural programs. Roknabadi also handed over a letter of congratulation from Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Mohammad Hosseini to Layyoun on the recent appointment of the Lebanese minister to the post. Iranian and Lebanese officials have recently doubled efforts to further expand the bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries. Earlier, Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour stressed Iran's role in the establishment of peace and security in the region, and said Beirut is eager to develop bilateral relations with Iran in all fields.
