Kuwaiti Acting Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al Khaled al Hamad al Sabah eulogized on Thursday late Egyptian poet Abdel Rahman al Abnoudi who passed away on Tuesday.
The premier recalled Abnoudi's contributions to the popular Arab poetry and his support for Kuwait during the 1990-1991 flagrant Iraqi occupation of the country.
Sheikh Khaled expressed sorrow in a cable sent to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri.
He offered Kuwait's condolences to the Egyptian people and Abnoudi's family.
