Jordan's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nedhal Al-Qatamin handed on Tuesday a commemorative shield of honor to Kuwaiti ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij for Kuwati's donation in the construction of an institute for the art of mosaic.
Kuwait's contribution to the institute, located in the city of Madaba in the west of the capital city of Amman, came to USD 212,000, for which the institute's dean Dr. Ahmad Al-Amayra was thankful, noting that the money would go toward setting up a workshop at the institute. The US donated two million dollars to the institute.
Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. It is a technique of decorative art or interior decoration.
