The Ministry of State for Youth Affairs had organized a trip for young Kuwaiti athletes to learn about Kuwait's history Saturday night.
The trip included different locations in the country with cultural and historical values, aiming to teach young ones about the prominent events that shaped Kuwait's history, the trip's coordinator Fatma Al-Mutawaa told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Meanwhile, she noted that former Kuwaiti football star Saad Al-Hoti was present at the trip, sharing his experience in the Kuwaiti football's golden era from 1975 to 1984 with the participants.
Al-Hoti also led the athletes in a tour at Kuwait Sporting Club, showcasing the achievements of Kuwait's national football team, who had participated in the World Cup back in 1982 in Spain, she said.
Al-Mutawaa called on youth to participate in the second trip next Saturday, which will include a tour inside the Heritage Souk.
Al-Hoti on his part, said that the Ministry of State is cooperating with the Ministry of Education to provide youth with different useful activities by establishing specialized youth centers in all governorates, and encouraging youth to spend their free time in playing football.
