Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said Saturday that Kuwait's diplomatic missions will not hold national celebrations this year as a gesture of respect to the recent passing away of late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
Sheikh Thamer told KUNA that the Kuwaiti embassy in Riyadh and the General Consulate in Jeddah will not be holding celebrations to commemorate Kuwait's 54th Independence Day and 24th liberation anniversary.
The Kuwaiti diplomat affirmed that the Kuwaiti leadership and people share the sadness of their Saudi brethren and will not hold celebrations this year.
