Music director gustavo dudamel led the Los Angeles philharmonic in performances featuring internationally acclaimed pianist lang lang on Tuesday at the Hollywood bowl. this concert launched the 2011 classical series at the famous venue. lang lang came to the bowl with dudamel in a performance of prokofiev's piano concerto no. 3 in c minor. it's the first time for the chinese pianist to perform with the venezuelan conductor. both born in the 1980s, the two young artists vowed to promote classical music through their cooperation.
