A special limited edition coin was produced by the Royal Mint to mark Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history, BBC reported on Tuesday.
The Royal Mint has announced a coin showing the queen's five portraits that have featured on coins during her 63-year reign from her coronation to now.
The commemorative coin is fine silver and worth 20 pounds.
According the Royal Mint, the coin is more distinctive because never before had all coins in circulation carried the portrait of the same monarch and there has never been an official coin produced to mark a monarch becoming the longest reigning king or queen in Britain.
Queen Elizabeth II will surpass a record set by Queen Victoria and become the longest reigning monarch in British history on Sept. 9.
