Local culture highlighted at Min Bladi Al Emarat

Heritage competitions and a staged Emirati wedding were the highlights of Min Bladi Al Emarat at The Dubai Mall on Thursday. Visitors to the event, which is a signature Dubai Summer Surprises event, were welcomed with dates, tea, Arabic coffee and sweets, giving them an opportunity to step back in time and relive Emirati tradition. Besides live entertainment featuring traditional songs and dances, other highlights included displays of traditional cooking vessels, a cloth-weaving corner, different kinds of spices, various types of oud and dhow-making materials.
