Pope Tawadros II sent a delegation from the Othodox Church to offer their condolences over the death of Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat.
The delegation, grouping Bishop Marcos of Shubra el Khima, Bishop Daniel of Maadi and a number of priests, offered their condolences during the consolation marquee held for the martyr Tuesday evening.
Barakat was killed when a booby trapped car targeted his motorcade on Monday.
The Church, in an earlier statement, mourned the death of Barakat and urged a firm stand against terrorism.
