Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Sheikh Yousef Adeis condemned demolishing Abu Kamel's Shrine by Israeli forces in Nablus.
In a statement issued on Monday, Adeis said that the shrine is one of the Islamic archaeological sites, adding that Israel committed these acts to facilitate the settlement operations.
He further underlined that Israel intends to tarnish the Arab as well as the Palestinian identity via demolishing the Islamic and Christian archaeological sites in the country.
The Palestinian official called on the Arab and Islamic nations, the Arab League (AL) as well as the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) to protect the Islamic sanctities atop of which is Al Aqsa Mosque.
