Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou honored Thursday actors and singers who took part in a campaign, dubbed 'Misr Qariba' (Egypt is near).
In a festival held at Cairo International Convention Center in Nasr City, Mahlab and Zaazou distributed souvenirs to the participating ِArab artists.
Zaazou stressed that both the Egyptian and Arab artists deserved to be honored for their effort that highlighted the significance of the Arab tourists for Egypt.
The tourism minister said a promotional film would be aired on various Arab satellite channels as well as social media networks to encourage Arab tourists to visit Egypt.
