The Secretariat-General of the Shura Council participated in the "This is Bahrain" Conference and Exhibition, organised recently in Berlin, Germany, by the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA).
The event, which attracted participants from public and private institutions and organisations, aimed to project the kingdom's milestone achievements and bright image as an oasis of diversity, peace and national unity.
The participation of the Shura Council's Secretariat-General in event was in line with the directives of the council's Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, for the aim of highlighting the Legislative Branch's pivotal role in the democratic process witnessed by the kingdom since the launch of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's reform Project.
Assistant Secretary-General for Relations, Media and Research Affairs Dr. Fawziya Al-Jeeb said the delegation had screened a documentary and distributed booklets and leaflets on the Shura Council's achievements, noting that the Shura Council's pavilion was widely praised by visitors.
Speaking during the Conference, Al-Jeeb highlighted the Bahraini citizens' pride in belonging to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She praised the distinguished status of the Bahraini women thanks to the leadership's vision and following the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Prince Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and the SCW President.
