Syrian churches ring fast-breaking bells
Damascus - George Al Shami
Syrian churches in the Kurdish town of Derik have been ringing their bells to mark the breaking of fast during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The decision was made due to regular power cuts in the northeastern town. Derik's population largely consists of Kurds and Christians.
