The Cultural Hall transformed into a time machine as renowned Kuwaiti folklorist group “Fan Al Sut” Folklorist teamed up with Bahrain’s own Mohammed bin Faris Band to take the audience on a unique voyage of a bygone era on Monday night (11th July), marking the successful start of the Bahrain Summer Festival’s second week. The event, an evening with “Fan Al Sout”, entertained the eager multi-cultural audience who packed the venue to the hilt with a blend of authentic tradition revives and a gentle hint of the present in a tribute to the region’s rich musical heritage. Also in attendance was Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, the Minister of Culture, and several guests who praised the Ministry’s efforts in making the festival a grand success with dazzling and unique shows that cater to all members of the family across all age ranges. Now in its third edition, Bahrain Summer Festival 2011 features a dozen shows highlighting the heritages of cultures from around the globe throughout July.
