Transport Minister Saad el Gyoushi inspected on Thursday the museum of the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) after the completion of development works.
The cost of the development works at the museum, that took several years, hit EGP 10 million.
The minister hailed the rehabilitation works at the museum and the performance of workers who received a reward of EGP 1,000 for their great efforts, Spokesman for Transport Ministry Ahmed Ibrahim said.
The museum exhibits a number of documents, maps and statistics showing the history of Egypt's railway, he added.
It will be inaugurated within days and in the presence of a raft of ministers.
