Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and co-chairman of the Summit on the Global Agenda 2014, spoke in Europe last week about the UAE's continuing support to promote discussions to develop communities throughout the world and seek solutions for current problems.
Al Mansouri made his remarks while meeting in Geneva with the managing director of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Espen Eide, and Philipp Rosler, Head of The Centre for Regional Strategies, WEF.
During the meeting, he also discussed preparations for the Summit on the Global Agenda 2014, to be held in Dubai from November 9 to 11, 2014.
He added that the U.A.E.'s hosting the Summit, for the seventh consecutive year, improves the country's stature as a global centre for holding international events that seek to create a better future for humanity in all arenas.
The Economy Minister also noted, "We seek to ensure all necessary means and capabilities to host the Summit and make it a success in a way that suits the importance of the agenda of the event, hailing the country's role to support the idea of dialogue on urgent regional and international issues, as well as enhancing peaceful co-existence and positive change for the benefit of humanity across the world." The 2014 Summit on the Global Agenda will bring more than 1,000 international intellectuals, experts and decision-makers to the UAE.
