His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein, the Regent, Wednesday, received a U.S. House of Representatives delegation headed by MP, Jeffrey Denham.
Prince Feisal discussed with the delegation representing the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership between Jordan and the U.S, particularly in the economic domain.
The meeting, held at the Al Husainiah Palace, touched on burdens arising from the Syrian refuge crisis and the great pressure it posed on the infrastructure and service sectors on the Kingdom.
They also spoke of crises in the region and efforts aimed at realizing political solutions that would bring about peace and stability.
The U.S. delegation hailed Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to enhance security and stability in the region.
They also commended the Kingdom for providing basic, educational and health services for the Syrian refugees, emphasizing, at the same time, the need to support Jordan to enable it cope with burdens arising from hosting large numbers of refugees.
