Minister of Awqaf Mokhtar Gomaa has warned against the use of religion in politics to achieve political gains.
In a statement following a meeting with Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazovic on Tuesday, Gomaa stressed the importance of highlighting the uprights teachings in Islam, as well as tolerance and co-existence.
Gomaa also warned against the gravity of the Muslim Brotherhood's thoughts to achieve political gains, describing the double standard discourse adopted the terrorist group as lies to deceive the West.
He expressed his ministry's readiness to provide Bosnia-Herzegovina with Egyptian ulema, saying the ministry is also ready to receive Bosnian ulema to study at the world academy of the Ministry of Awqaf to explain to the moderation of Islam to them.
On Monday, adviser to Egypt's mufti Ibrahim Negm said the five-day visit, currently being paid, by the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina came within a strategy to build bridges of communication with the muftis around the world, achieve the Egyptian leadership in the deployment of true religion of Islam, confront extremism and spread peace throughout the world.
