Sudanese President Omar al Bashir has taken part in all sessions of the African Summit in South Africa and his visit's program is going as planned, said a spokesman for the Sudanese presidency.
In a statement released by the Sudanese embassy in Cairo, Bashir's spokesman said that the South African government has stated that the Sudanese leader is totally welcomed in Johannesburg.
Sudan's ambassador in Cairo Abdel Mahmoud Abdel Halim, for his part, dismissed that media reports that a South African court issued an arrest warrant against Bashir.
Abdel Halim strongly denied reports that Bashir was arrested in South Africa.
The ambassador severely criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC), describing it as "racial and politicized".
In 2009, the ICC issued an arrest warrant, accusing Bashir of war crimes against humanity related to the conflict in Darfur.
