Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders met here Wednesday with his Palestinian counterpart Riyad Al-Maliki, Currently visiting Brussels.
During the meeting, Al Maliki briefed the Belgian Foreign Minister on the situations in Palestine and the Israeli crimes. He also reviewed the Palestinian efforts for advocating the French initiative for holding an international peace conference.
The Palestinian leadership is waiting for the end of French special envoy Pierre Vimont's tour hoping it would put an end to the stalemate in the Middle East peace process, said Al Maliki.
Palestinian Foreign Minister reiterated his condemnation of terrorist attacks that hit Belgium, stressing the need for concerted efforts to counter terrorism.
For his part, Belgian Foreign Minister expressed support for the French initiative, stressing his country's rejection of the settlement considering it to be an obstacle to the peace process and to the implementation of the two states solution.
