Cuban President Raul Castro met here on Tuesday with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is on his first leg of a six-nation tour of Latin American countries.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of boosting economic cooperation between the two countries, Middle East affairs and regional and international issues.
They also exchanged views on the upcoming summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which is to be held in Venezuela later in the year.
Zarif arrives in Havana on Sunday on the first leg of his Latin American trip, which will also take him to Nicaragua, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela.
