Dutch FM Bert Koenders visits Gaza

Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders arrived here Wednesday on a several hours' visit to Gaza.

In statements to reporters, Koenders said his country is eager to boost the economic situation in the Palestinian territories.

He is scheduled to meet Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and officials of international non-governmental organizations operating in the coastal enclave.

Koenders held a meeting Tuesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on efforts exerted to support the peace process in the Middle East region.
