Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Saturday with Singapore Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli on the sidelines of the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC), Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aatti said.
The meeting discussed fostering bilateral relations and means of benefiting from Singapore’s model as a developing country.
Zulkifli said he was glad to participate in the EEDC, adding that his country is ready to provide experience and technical support to Egypt.
The meeting also tackled a number of issues of mutual interest including combating terrorism, Abdel Aatti further said.
He added that Zulkifli has also asserted his country’s support to Egypt’s bid to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
