Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Monday arrived in Malabo on a two-day visit to Equatorial Guinea.
During the visit, Mahlab will convey a message from President Abdel Fatah El Sisi to President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on the bilateral relations and an invitation to attend the planned inauguration of the new Suez Canal.
Mahlab will have talks with senior officials in Equatorial Guinea on ways of boosting the bilateral ties and cooperation on the African issues.
He will take part in an international conference on Ebola.
The president of Equatorial Guinea had dispatched his deputy and the country's prime minister along with a number of ministers to receive the Egyptian premier at the airport.
The premier will also open the new compound of the Egyptian embassy in Malabo.
He will also meet with a number of African officials who are taking part in the conference on Ebola to discuss means of boosting African-Egyptian cooperation.
