The First undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Relations, ambassador Abdul Ghani Al Naeem, on Sunday received the China ambassador to the Sudan, Li Lianhe.
The two sides have commended in the meeting the level of the political, economic, cultural and trade ties linking the two countries, and stand out as outstanding and a model to be followed by other countries.
The ambassador has pointed out that he has signed in the name of his country on a number of interest-free loan agreement and easy loan agreements on implementation of a number of projects in animal production fields and other technical and civil defense areas.
The meeting also reviewed the positive role played by the Chinese forces taking part in the peace keeping mission in Darfur UNAMID, as the Chinese troops take part in all developmental and social activities in Darfur states.
The undersecretary expressed Sudan's appreciation for the role played by the ambassador in the promotion and development of the bilateral Sudanese Chinese relations, expressing his hope for the development and success of the projects in place.
He said it was not unusual as China is known to have partnership with the Sudan in the various domains of life, referring to the prevalence of security and stability in Darfur and the demise of the conflict in the region.
The undersecretary said it was now high time for development and rehabilitation in Darfur calling on China to participate in this stage of rehabilitation and development in Darfur and help contribute in upgrading the level of livelihood and maintenance of peace and stability there.
