Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, held a meeting here today with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukri.
They reviewed the brotherly relations between the two countries and ways to further develop them in various fields, as well as the latest developments in the region.
The minister expressed pride in the growing Bahraini-Egyptian relations which benefit both countries and their peoples. He also commended the vital role played by the Republic of Egypt in supporting the security and stability of the region, as well as in enhancing joint Arab action.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted Egypt’s continued efforts to face the challenges targeting the region, and to combat terrorism, its funders and supporters.
Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for the continued coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Egypt in various forums regarding all issues. He noted the role of the Kingdom in maintaining the security and peace of the region and in confronting terrorism in all its forms. He also affirmed Egypt’s unwavering stance towards supporting all measures taken to preserve the security and stability of Bahrain, calling for concerted efforts to eliminate terrorism.
