Jordan's King Abdullah II received on Wednesday the Indonesian president's special envoy to the Middle East and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Alwi Shihab, Petra news agency reported.
Shihab handed the King an invitation from Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, to attend the celebrations on the 10th anniversary of the Asian- African strategic partnership and the 60th anniversary of the Asian- African summit scheduled to be held in Jakarta next month.
The King stressed the importance of a collective pan-Arab and Islamic effort to confront terrorism and highlight the true values and moderation of Islam.
Shihab said his country is keen on boosting ties with the Kingdom in various spheres, appreciating the King's role in achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
