Jordanian King Abdullah II on Sunday started a working visit to the Belgian capital Brussels and Strasbourg in France for talks with European officials on ties and political developments in the Middle East, Petra reported.
On the first leg of his tour, King Abdullah will discuss with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel on Monday ways of cementing ties between Jordan and Belgium as well as regional and international developments.
Also in Brussels, King Abdullah will meet with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg for talks on bolstering ties between the Kingdom and NATO member countries.
In Strasbourg, King Abdullah will be delivering a keynote address at the European Union (EU) headquarters, in which he will outline his vision on the challenges facing the Middle East, mainly the war against terrorism and efforts to boost regional security and stability.
King Abdullah will also meet with EU top officials, including European Parliament president, Martin Schulz, President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini. They will discuss ties between Jordan and the EU and the latest developments in the Middle East.
