Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, on Wednesday met the Director of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department for Middle East and North Africa, Sergey Vershinin and discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.
Both sides reviewed developments in Syria and efforts to stop the violence and put an end to the bloodshed and the importance of intensifying efforts to this end, stressing keenness on continuing communication and consultation on various issues of common concern.
During the meeting, they also reviewed international efforts to address the threat of terrorism and its gangs and efforts to achieve peace and stability and the importance of adopting a comprehensive strategy to address all forms of terrorism and extremism.
The Russian official stressed his country's keenness to continue supporting Jordan's efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to achieve peace and stability in the region.
