Jordanian Minister of Information and Communication Technology receives UAE Ambassador
ABU DHABI, - WAM

Majd Shweikeh, Minister of Information and Communication Technology and Minister of Public Sector Development in Jordan, has received Matar Saif Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Jordan, to discuss the Jordanian ministry’s plans, programmes and investment opportunities related to the local communication sector.

Shweikeh highlighted the importance of training the youth and creating opportunities for all segments of the community and public and grassroot institutions to utilise information and communication technology as an effective tool for developing and advancing human resources, as well as increasing their competitiveness and providing them with the necessary skills to succeed in various sectors.

Shweikeh and Al Shamsi agreed on the necessity of benefiting from the expertise of both countries and promoting greater co-operation in the areas of communication and information technology and in the public sector.

Al Shamsi also praised Jordan’s advancement and successes, as a leading country in the region in communication and information technology and in developing innovative and modern techniques to produce Arabic content, due to its overall security and stability.
