Jordan's Regent, Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein

Jordan's Regent, Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, met here on Thursday with a delegation representing the United States House Committee on Appropriations, led by MP Harold Rogers, Petra News Agency reported.
The meeting dealt with the strategic ties between Jordan and the United States, as well as means to forge closer cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting also discussed efforts to revive the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis and re-launch serious and effective negotiations between the two sides on the basis of the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Talks also deal with regional developments, mainly the Syrian crisis, the need to achieve a peaceful solution to the crisis and efforts to fight terrorism and extremism within a holistic approach to enhance global peace and security.
