Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri met on Monday with Egypt's Ambassador Nazeh el-Nagary on the developments in Lebanon and the region.
Nagary, said in remarks following the meeting, that he expressed appreciation for Hariri for solidarity and support he voiced for Egypt after a recent deadly terrorist attack in North Sinai.
He stressed that such acts will not prevent Egypt from continuing its role at the Arab and regional levels. He also asserted to Hariri that Cairo plans to boost this role and to provide support for Lebanon.
The meeting also touched on the bilateral relations between Egypt and Lebanon.
Separately, the Egyptian ambassador conferred with Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri on the current developments. Berri lauded Cairo's role to address the recent political crisis in Lebanon.
