Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab paid a visit to Turin Museum in Italy and wrote a memorial word in its visitor book.
Accompanied by Minister of Industry and Trade Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, and on the fringe of his visit to Turin, Mahlab made a tour in the museum, which showcased the world's second largest collection of Pharaonic monuments after the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
Mahlab listened to the explanations of the museum's curators on its collection, including huge statues, coffins, papyrus, mummies, and portions from old temples.
A group of the Egyptian expatriates gathered outside the Turin Museum raising the Egyptian flags and chanting slogans of "long Live Egypt" to greet Mahlab.
Officials in Turin Museum presented a souvenir to Mahlab after he wrote a dedication in the museum visitor book, praising the deeply-rooted historic bilateral ties between the two countries.
Earlier Wednesday, Mahlab arrived in Italy on a three-day official visit.
He will meet with senior officials of the Italian auto companies in Turin to review a new strategy for the manufacturing of automobiles and their spare parts in Egypt.
The premier will also chair the Egyptian-Italian Business Council where he will expound the national projects which are currently under construction in Egypt, including the Suez Canal Corridor, the Gold Triangle Project (North Coast Development Project), the Furniture City in Damietta as well as means of bolstering cooperation in the small- and medium-scale projects and technical training.
He will also sign a number of memoranda understanding between the two countries in the fields of energy, petroleum and electricity, as well as a declaration of intention on establishing a technological center to serve furniture manufacturers in the new industrial zone in Damietta city.
