Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Monday chaired a meeting of the board of the education development fund.
The ministers of investment and international cooperation, trade and industry, communications, planning, follow-up and administrative reform, education, and higher education took part in the meeting.
The meeting reviewed recommendations of a committee formed to study proposals for restructuring of the fund. The recommendations included updating the fund's vision, mission and spheres of activity in accordance with its role as an incubator for innovation in education and training.
Among the proposals is to create a fresh educational model by receiving ideas, projects and proposed solutions that represent direct or non-traditional solutions to the problems of education, and to arrange them in a specific plan in line with the priorities of the Egyptian state and Egypt Vision 2030.
The participants agreed to form an executive committee to ensure the speedy implementation of the fund's tasks, assigning the Ministry of Planning to study the proposals for the restructuring of the fund.
