The foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan and Palestine convened in Cairo on Saturday to discuss Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
The meeting falls within the framework of a tripartite mechanism to follow up the Palestinian cause developments and means of pushing forward the peace process.
The three states are the key regional players that are keen on coordinating efforts to support the Palestinian cause and evaluating the situation in the Palestinian territories, especially in the aftermath of recent escalations in Quds and a number of Palestinian cities.
The top diplomats will stand on the latest political and security developments in the Palestinian territories and coordinate efforts and stances ahead of a prospective visit by a US delegation to the region.
The three FMs are scheduled to hold a press conference following the meeting.
