Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum
Dubai - WAM

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, yesterday visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.

Upon arrival at the site of the tomb, designed by the famous Polish sculptor, Stanislaw Ostrowski, Sheikh Mohammed was given an official reception and escorted by the cavalry during his tour.

The band played the national anthems of the UAE and Poland, after which Sheikh Mohammed laid a wreath on the tomb.

Sheikh Mohammed wrote in the monument's register: "Behind every great act are great unsung heroes who deserve to be honoured for lighting the path for future generations and for their sacrifices made for the sake of their country."
