International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr headed for France on Friday on a four-day visit to the European country to take part in the annual meeting of the Marseille Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) due there on November 30.
Once in Paris, Nasr will hold a meeting with Mario Pezzini, the director of the Development Center at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and Jacques Moineville, deputy chief executive officer of the French Agency for Development (AFD).
Nasr is also scheduled to deliver a speech during the CMI meeting on means of boosting cooperation and integration among Mediterranean countries. She will also review efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to support economic development.
The CMI is a space where development agencies, governments, local authorities and civil society from around the Mediterranean convene in order to exchange knowledge, discuss public policies, and identify the solutions needed to address key challenges facing the Mediterranean region.
Through innovative solutions, the CMI aims to help countries achieve transformative reforms and enhance integration in the Mediterranean region.
