President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has received the credentials of Abdullah Mohammed Al Takawi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Uganda.
During the meeting, the UAE envoy conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to President Museveni.
He stressed the interest of the UAE leadership to strengthen bilateral relations with Uganda in particular and Africa in general through constructive cooperation and encouragement of investment in both countries.
On his part, President Museveni asked Ambassador Al Takawi to convey his regards to the UAE President and the UAE Vice President.
He praised the growth of relations between the two countries, citing the existence of the UAE embassy in Uganda. He said it is a good opportunity to increase the trade exchange between the two countries.
